Mark Carper is a VISTA volunteer who found us on the Internet while searching for something new to do in the Permaculture field. Mark’s many life experiences — including achieving a PDC — make him the perfect fit for ETPRI. He’s taught college courses on sustainability, resource conservation, and management, edited a peer-reviewed journal, lived in and helped manage an urban eco-village in Cinncinati and worked in several planning organizations.
We might also note that Mark has become fluent in Bulgarian in his spare time.
Mark is contributing in a dozen ways to helping ETPRI, most especially by finding, scheduling and working with volunteers. Recently he organized a sheet mulching event through the “Give a Day” program. When the day came, he dove right in working with the volunteers to do the “prep” work sorting old newspapers for the mulch.
