A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Starting a new venture such as the ETPRI is going to require a lot more than two people. David and Jim need help in a dozen different forms. Some of the current tasks include:
Spreading wood chips
Building raised beds
Turning invasive growth (weeds) into compost
Building an herb spiral
Hugelkultur bed creation
and a dozen or more tasks we haven’t thought of yet
Teachers of Permaculture, biodynamics, and organic farming
People who are experienced with particular crops: herbs, fruits, grains, etc.
Teachers of topics in health, Sustainability, etc.
People who know how to do things like make beer or wine, preserve food, keep bees, etc.
People who can produce educational materials
People who can help organize classes
Someone to catalog and supervise our library
Editorial help on our newsletter
Crunching Mail Chimp data and pruning our email list
As you can see, it’s not all “field hand” work. If you would like to put in some time and aid in creation of what we hope will be a lasting community resource, please contact us — and remember, Volunteering is one way of ‘purchasing’ a membership with all its benefits.
